Once again, Brides of Oklahoma chose Esperanza Ranch as their shooting location for a bridal photoshoot. This time, it was for a photospread featuring wedding dresses, jewelry, and floral arrangements from local designers.
Esperanza Ranch has become such a popular site for wedding photoshoots because it is more than just a backdrop. Each location at the ranch tells a different story, and photographers love to place their models within these stories.
Each of the seven dreamy bridal gowns that Brides of Oklahoma photographed at Esperanza Ranch was paired with a different location around the ranch to highlight the dream the gown evokes.
Let’s travel together through the locations that Brides of Oklahoma chose to highlight and step into the romantic dream of each photograph.
The Meandering Stream
A thin stream, bordered by rounded stones weaves its way through Esperanza Ranch’s lush lawn. Our happy couples love the stream because it provides both a calming soundtrack to their wedding and a romantic photography spot.
Brides of Oklahoma paired this spot with a classic white gown with a square neckline and tulle sleeves. This dress’s simplicity echoed the tranquil sound of a running stream.
The Pond
At the base of the stream is an emerald green pond with a smooth stone outcropping jutting into the center. Standing on this stone, the model and her mermaid-silhouette gown are reflected clearly in the pond’s smooth water. Completing this image is the silent frame of weeping willows and pines surrounding the pond.
This outcrop is a favorite for bridal photographs, the small stone slab is bounded by water, with just enough room for two.
The Window
One of the most charming parts of rustic barn weddings is the soft light through the large windows of the barn. These large windows are great for a variety of photographs including gauzy silhouettes of the couple or photos like the ones taken by Brides of Oklahoma that feature a bride lounging in the soft light from the window.

The Hearth
In the series of photos of the inside of Esperanza Ranch’s spacious barn, Brides of Oklahoma captured the vintage charm that brings so many couples to Esperanza Ranch. The stone hearth at the center of our barn is the heart of this venue. The homey warmth of the location is emphasized by the flowers and candles decorating the mantle.
Paired with a dreamy tulle dress with light floral applique, the hearth conjures a feeling of home and security. The warm evening light of the barn shines through the airy layers of this dress, making it look as though the bride is wearing a sunset.
The Arch
Esperanza Ranch is blessed with so many lovely places to say “I do,” but a fan favorite has always been beneath the arch of sturdy beams at the front of the barn. The rustic weathered, grey facade of the barn is a perfect match with the beautiful trailing floral display that Brides of Oklahoma orchestrated for this location.
Standing beneath the blushing pink roses of the arch, our bride shimmers in the dappled light. These images are the perfect vision of a garden wedding, with open-toed heels and a thigh slit in the gown. The simple beauty of this location gives all of the photos a lovely feeling of summer. You can almost feel the warm breeze blowing across the wedding guest and tossing the bride’s veil into motion.
The Forest
All of the photographs of Esperanza Ranch would not be complete without the backdrop of trees that surround the property. The wild and rural feel of Esperanza Ranch comes from the forest of mature pines and oaks that protect the venue from the outside world.
This woodland landscape pairs perfectly with the floral motifs of all of these dresses, as it balances the wild with the manicured, creating an overall rustic feel.
